HELLO and welcome to ShawShack K9. We are located in West Odessa, Texas and offer private lessons, group classes, specialized training days, board and trains, and vacation boarding! My name is Stephanie Shaw and I am the owner and trainer for ShawShack K9. I have loved dogs my whole life.  From an early age I was fascinated in the way dogs learned and could be taught to do unusual tasks and tricks. I love the challenge of teaching new dogs and understand not all dogs will learn the same ways or even be good at the same tasks as others. I take, breed, age, health, temperament, family structure, experience, and size into consideration when working with each individual client. I train everything from basic obedience to precise skills as needed by the owner/handler. We have fun swim days with an intro to water class in the summer and can prepare you and your dog for tests like the Canine Good Citizen, Advanced, Utility, Public Access, and Farm dog. I can help with potty training, nuisance barking, destructive and compulsive behaviors by helping families understand them and manage them in a way that promotes success. I am a certified therapy dog handler with Alliance of Therapy Dogs with two of my personal dogs.
I compete in AKC sports with my personal dogs and show in AKC conformation.
I am a 2022 & 2023 West Texas Warbirds official sponsor and a 2024 Desert Hawks official sponsor attending all home games.
